French Lake 2018 Sheepshead Fishing Tournament Official Rules

Contest open to French Lake Association Members and registered sponsored guests ONLY
- All contestants must be paid and registered prior to the start of the tournament.
- Entry Fee is $10.
- 100% proceeds from entry fees will be paid out in cash prizes as follows:
First: 40% of Entry Pool
Second: 30% of Entry Pool
Third: 20% of Entry Pool
Fourth: 10% of Entry Pool
$100 to the Angler with the most Sheepshead
- All entry fees must be paid in CASH…no refunds (including possible weather reschedule)
- Contest begins promptly at 1:00 PM
- All boats required to be in the water surrounding Ungs’ Resort at 1:00 PM for the Shotgun Start
- All boats must be in just prior to 4:00PM. Horn will blast at 3:45 to signify 15-minute warning.
- Boats can be docked, beached, or anchored at Ungs’ Resort
- Late boats will be disqualified
- Contest is for Sheepshead ONLY, no game fish will qualify
- Each person in boat must be a paid entrant…wristbands must be worn
- No pre-fishing…All fish must be caught on French Lake between 1:00 and 4:00PM on the day of the contest.
- Live wells may be subject to inspection prior to the start
- Fish must be caught with rod and reel
- Winner will be determined by overall LENGTH of fish.
- In case of a tie, prize will be split evenly (first place and second place $ amounts)
- Decision of judges and contest directors is FINAL
- Each entrant will receive a ticket for door prizes—MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN
- Door Prize Drawing at Ungs’ Resort immediately after the close of contest/determination of winners
- Only one fish can be entered per registered contestant.
- Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to receive prizes
- Everyone must practice safe boating!
- All Anglers must have a valid MN Fishing License
- Contest Directors, Sponsors, Judges not responsible for accidents or injuries. Participation executes a Release of Liability. Release indemnifies Tournament Directors, Sponsors, and Judges.
